10 years ago several tour operators decided to join their efforts to bring about changes and contribute to the reforms. This true professionals and dedicated personalities in the area of tourism aspired to jointly overcome all kind of difficulties and find solutions to vitally important issues. They established the Union of Incoming Tour Operators (UITO) of Armenia with the purpose of providing better services and contributing to economic and social development of the country.

We all share the same interests and goals, and are eager to introduce the beauty and culture of our country to the world community.

Tourism brings together all nations without distinction as to race, color or religion, political or other opinion. Tourism is not a single industry, but rather a group of related enterprises that are jointed together in the common purpose of providing services for the travelling public. Tourism is the area which deals with all spheres of life therefore the specialists of tourism are well- rounded, charismatic and humanistic personalities. One of our motoes is: high respect for travelers’ freedom of choice.  Armenia’s potential for promoting tourism is big. We look into the future with good perspective of developing tourism industry.

Tourism comes second after the field of Information Technologies which attracts young people to be involved in. The fact speaks for itself: Armenian tourism is in for a bright future. The tourist industry differs from many others also in that it employs more women than many other kinds of business. Many successful travel agents are women who have established independent enterprises after gaining experience elsewhere in the industry.

The number of the members of UITO is rising day by day. Many tour operators realize the importance of being united, sharing the same values and enthusiasm for their commitments.

Tourism is one of the fastest growing industries in the world; the growth rate of tourism sometimes exceeds the growth rate for the worldwide economy. Our companies are able to meet the standards and respond to the challenges in this competitive field of industry.

We can say that UITO plays very important role in Armenian tourism and assumes essential position in the industry. We make the tour operators voices heard and we are able to protect their rights and interests. Our sincere inclination is to assist in providing excellent quality of services to make the tourists feel at home in Armenia and explore this small and wonderful part of the world in comfort and pleasure.
