Minister of Economy of RA meets with the members of the Union of Incoming Tour Operators of Armenia

On February 15, the regular meeting of the Minister of Economy of RA Karen Chshmaritian with the members of the Union of Incoming Tour Operators of Armenia was held at the Ministry of Economy.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Economy Sergey Avetisyan, head of Department of Tourism Development Policy of the Ministry of Economy Mekhak Apresyan, Executive Director of the Development Foundation of Armenia Arman Khachatryan.

During the meeting the issues related to the state policy and projects of Armenia’s tourism industry were discussed /participation in international exhibitions, terms and conditions of usage for the purposes of tourism of specially protected natural areas and historic monuments, importance of its transparency, facilitation of the process of touristic buses and tourists border crossing, renovation of roads with  tourism importance, etc./

Tour operators presented to the Minister of Economy some problems existing in the sector. Clarifications were made regarding represented problems. Karen Chshmaritian also instructed to present proposals for the solution of some problems by cooperating with other relevant state administration and local government bodies.
